Create with The Junk Lady

Description

I am a teaching artist who develops and provides creative art experiences for students of all ages. I call myself “The Junk Lady” and my theme of “Transforming Junk into Treasure” involves using found and discarded materials to create art that is visually exciting and environmentally friendly. My projects are designed so that students may explore their own artistic voices, make design decisions and become more aware of discards in our own environment. I believe that exploring the arts can and should be exciting, fun, and meaningful and each participant in my workshops will leave with their own unique creation.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a Master of Arts degree in Education, and am an ASU Gammage Teaching Artist trained in the Kennedy Center Arts Integration method. I have been a professional teaching artist for over 15 years and work extensively throughout Arizona with students of all ages from preschoolers to senior citizens.

Program fee: $150-$200 depending on project. For information about multiple show discount contact artist.
