CAFE Flutes (Central Arizona Flute Ensemble)

Description
Making Music, Making Memories
CAFE Flutes enriches, enlightens, and inspires Central Arizona audiences with interactive concerts that are “emotionally invigorating—beautiful and life-lifting!”
This 7-member flute choir performs in styles ranging from show tunes, oldies, Disney, and patriotic to folk, pop, and classical. Each program features all members of the flute family—from the tiny piccolo to the 10-foot-long contrabass flute—introduced with engaging stories and trivia that ““emanate a love for playing—unmissable, unmistakable, and infectious.””
CAFE customizes every concert to our audience. Children are invited to join the fun by playing small percussion instruments along with Disney favorites, while all ages can try demonstration flutes, join in Q&A sessions, and enjoy a playful twist on “Happy Birthday” for that month’s celebrants.
Since 2014, CAFE has performed over 250 concerts in venues including many libraries, the Desert Botanical Garden, Mesa Arts Center, and the Arizona Broadway Theatre.
With CAFE, music is never just heard—it’s experienced.

“CAFE Flutes provided an exciting and engaging performance. They played a variety of music from classical to jazz. Each member stood up and spoke about the pieces that they were playing. After the concert was finished, many of the attendees told me how much they enjoyed the group. I recommend CAFE Flutes to any library that is looking for a musical performance that is not only a joy to listen to, but a learning experience.” Carolyn Raso, Litchfield Park Library
