Duo Ocotillo

Description

Duo Ocotillo uniquely pairs cello with mandolin or classical guitar. New shows for 2023 include "All Together Now," which lets audience members choose songs from a menu of choices that reflect musical traditions from across the centuries and around the globe, and "Songs and Stories," an educational presentation that traces the foundations of music from Bach to Zedd and includes personal anecdotes about us and our instruments. Other shows, which all include tales behind the music, can be customized to your needs: --Stage and Screen: Music from Broadway, the movies and television. --Classics with a Twist: When you pair mandolin with cello, Bach and his buddies get a new sound. --Love and Heartbreak. Love songs. Drop dead songs. Growing old together songs. --The '60s±. Building on a firm foundation of Beatles songs, we explore pop songs from the 1960s, as well as the '50s and '70s. --Christmas, secular and sacred.
