Michael Albert / Modern Pop Art Experience

Description

Scheduling virtual and in person events through 2024! American Pop Artist & Author of "An Artist's America" (Henry Holt, 2008) Michael Albert will visit your library, school, museum or other arts venue. He will start the 2-hour program with a short artist introduction & presentation (20-30 minutes) where he will tell his story, show examples of his Modern Pop Art (with posters) and explain the project the group is about to do. Then he will lead a Hands-On Workshop (about 1 hour) where participants will be able to create collages using the same materials he does to create his serious artworks. Finally, after everyone helps clean up their stuff & put the materials away, there is a free poster giveaway & signing (20 minutes) where he will offer all participants the choice of one of the 15 different prints he brings as a thank you gift for coming. He will gladly sign the prints as he thanks the group for coming & says goodbye. He has run this program over 1,000 times in 43 states & in Europe.
